Chateau de Versailles - the jewel of 17 th century France
A licensed historian and chauffeured car are organised for this walk. A gourmet picnic can be organized for lunch.
Originally a hunting lodge from 1623, it is now considered the most prestigious ex-Royal residence of any court in Europe . The visit includes the Royal Apartments, Marie-Antoinette's and Louis XVI bedrooms, the Chapel, Hall of Mirrors and the Royal gardens and fountains. If time permitting, a visit of the Petit Trianon and Marie Antoinette's Hamlet.
After the tour, why not enjoy a gourmet picnic in the gardens near the Grand Canal and Le Petit Venise (overlooking the impressive Apollo Fountain and a majestic view of the whole chateau).
